Replace the oscillator of your console to either have a proper PAL or NTSC signal or fix the vertical Refresh rate of the video.
This version is more suited for consoles that have no metal can oscillators inside. The input supply voltage is 3.3V (3.6 max). This version is suited for consoles such as the Playstation 1 or the MVS MV-1C.
NOTE FOR THE PS1:
You need first to remove the original clock source from GPU Pin 192, which is the clock input pin. This is done by removing the 220ohm resistor between the original Crystal/Oscillator and GPU Pin 192. Then the Clock Out from the DFO to GPU Pin 192.
However, the DFO sold here use a 18ohm resistor, you will need to replaced it with 220ohm.
-> I AM NOR REFUNDING ANYMORE BECAUSE PEOPLE SAYING "IT IS NOT WORKING" WHILE NOT PROPERLY INSTALLING IT"
It works like this:
This PCB store two frequencies, and you can switch between them with the S0 input by changing its state: High (+5v) or Low (Ground).
You can select 2 plateforms
S0 = high => 53.693175 MHz (=15x NTSC subcarrier)
S1 = low => 53.203425 MHz (=12x PAL subcarrier)
- Neo Geo MVS (Output Correction):
S0 = high => 24 MHz (Vertical Refresh Rate = 59.94Hz)
S1 = low => 24.305909760 MHz (Vertical Refresh Rate = 59.1856Hz // Original Frequence)
You can also program it at the frequency you want with the DFO Programer you can buy here:
